May 2005

May always kind of signifies the beginning of a new cruising season here in Winnipeg. So I thought maybe this month would be a good time to talk about the minitruck scene here in town.

Minitrucking is catching on like a virus here in town. It seems these days you can't leave the house without seeing at least a lowered s10, and the amount of bodydropped trucks this year is going to go from about 1 to probably closer to 5 or 6 at the least. It seems everyone has beef with someone, and when it boils down to it, for the most part, there is no good reason for it. We are all here to enjoy the same hobby. Sure, there will always be some who don't see it that way. The hotshots who feel they are above the primer unfinished rides. Nothing will ever change that, but we can try to patch up some of the rifts and make this scene more enjoyable for everyone, before it self destructs.
