July 2005

July is here. It seems to me like the summer season is flying by pretty quick, which is never a good feeling; especially when your truck is still in a million pieces and a lot more then a few weeks from being driveable. Oh well, there's always next year I guess, but I do need to do some serious dragging with someone soon, before my head explodes.

Anyways, enough about that for now.

On Saturday, June 25th, 2005, the 1st ever iLLconformity ‘Summer Shocker' car and truck show took place, with great success. Over 100 vehicles registered, and although the absolute final numbers are not calculated, I can say for sure we will be making a donation of at least $1500 to the Canadian Cancer Society. This is thanks to registration fees, spectator donations, and hot dog and drink sales. And also to our sponsors, who backed us with enough funds to finance the show and the expenses that go with it.

Congratulations to all the winners at the show, and thanks to the guys who made the trip from out of town to support our cause. Special thanks to the Dropsicles guys who came all the way from Edmonton. Sorry most of us couldn't take the time to hang out with you guys and show you around town a little more, but we were busy running around like maniacs. Oh well, we'll see you at Meltdown in September, but remember, we gave you good weather, so you better return the favour.
