What are you looking forward to in 2005?

2005 is going to be a big year for the mini-trucking scene in Winnipeg. Rumors have already been flying about a ton of trucks that are expected to show up this year. I know of at least 3 trucks that will be body dropped for sure, ending Dallas' reign of terror he's held on the scene for a couple of years now. It seems for the last little while something new seems to pop up every week. I know now that my truck won't be the first body dropped blazer on the road, and Dallas probably won't be the only body dropped second gen. Rumor has it there are 2 bd'd first gen s10's that could pop up any minute from some guys just outside the city, and who knows what other guys are busy choppin and dropping in their garage in the winter months.

Probably the most anticipated debut is that of a certain old body ranger. This truck has not been on the road for a couple of years, and despite rumors, it never appeared last summer either. However, most people are pretty sure this truck will be on the streets this year for sure, and from what I've heard, could set a new standard for minis here in the city. So many stories have been told about this truck: Full frame build, body drop, suicide doors, new paint, new interior, the list goes on. I've even heard rumors that it will be on rims as big as 24”, but that seems a little far fetched. I guess time will tell, and for all we know, maybe all the hype is for nothing. Or maybe not.
